Meet Noah 👋🏼🎾 Noah has been a regular at our LTA Youth sessions every Wednesday for several months now, and his enthusiasm is truly inspiring! He absolutely loves taking part, showing up every week with excitement and determination, and he’s making amazing progress. Noah lives with a chronic neuromuscular condition, but thanks to the generous support of the Dan Maskell Trust and the Sports Foundation for the Disabled, our club now has specialised children’s tennis wheelchairs that have made it possible for Noah to join in and thrive during these sessions. Now, Noah’s mum is fundraising to get him an adapted sports wheelchair of his very own. This would allow Noah to participate in tennis and other sports, not only at the club but also at school, in PE, and beyond. Today I took part in training to help us coaches understand how important movement is in children’s development. We learnt how to asses children and provide support with those early basic skills to prepare them for the skills they need for tennis. This term I will be rolling this out to some of our LTA groups - really fascinating - happy to discuss with anyone who is interested #LTA #tennis #SDTC

Excited to announce we have received 2 brand new children's tennis wheelchairs for 4-8 year olds! 🎾✨ We will also be receiving another 2 tennis wheelchairs this week for ages 8-13! We are really passionate about opening tennis up to everyone, and receiving these chairs really allows us to do just that. We now have full provision to offer wheelchair tennis for 4 year olds all the way up to adults! 🎉 Thank you so much to the Sports Foundation for the Disabled and the Dan Maskell Tennis trust for these very generous grants and ongoing support.
