Our Academy Juniors have had a brilliant couple of weeks competing both on Tour at Penzance, and in the Devon Junior County Championships held at Ivybridge. This year our Penzance Tour was led by Liam for the first time, keeping up the tradition of Paul who’s taken players on tour to Penzance for 18 years previously. Liam was assisted by Max and Tracey, who were brilliant in ensuring the players all had an enjoyable week. The 19 players gained so much experience on the match court and left inspired to take part in more competitions. Many of our academy players took this experience forward into the Devon Junior County Championships the week after. Some super tennis was on display. Our Academy Juniors have had a brilliant couple of weeks competing both on Tour at Penzance, and in the Devon Junior County Championships held at Ivybridge. This year our Penzance Tour was led by Liam for the first time, keeping up the tradition of Paul who’s taken players on tour to Penzance for 18 years previously. Liam was assisted by Max and Tracey, who were brilliant in ensuring the players all had an enjoyable week. The 19 players gained so much experience on the match court and left inspired to take part in more competitions. Many of our academy players took this experience forward into the Devon Junior County Championships the week after. Some super tennis was on display. Torbay Open 8U’s Five of our Red Academy Players had a great day today competing in the 8U Event at the Torbay Open Well done to all the boys who competed hard through the heat of the indoor bubble, even practicing their doubles skills in between their matches on the practice court 🎾 Rohan, Rupert, Matias, James & Millard played brilliant tennis to make it through the group stages to the quarter finals! Matias & Millard progressed to the semi finals, with Matias just falling short 7-10 in a very closely thought contest. Millard won his semi final 10-5 After some extremely long rallies and saving a match point, Millard prevailed in the final 12-10 to win the title 🏆💪 Coach Liam was in attendance and super proud of all of the boys efforts 👏💪
